Margaret falls is a list topper for waterfall lovers, with a stunning view, cascading falls and a total height of over 27m (90ft)

Reinecker Creek gorge is an amazing hike with a spectacular showcase of old growth forest. Near the end is Margaret Falls, a 90 ft waterfall with amazing views from the platform below.

Notably, Margaret falls is located within Herald Provincial Park, near Tappen, British Columbia along the northern shores of Shuswap Lake. Obviously, this unique location is a lovely gem at the end of a short hike and is a top spot for those who love a good waterfall.

Most recently, the hike had been closed due to flooding in 2017 but has since been reopened to the public.

Follow the river bed along the lower trails through the forest and over the wooden bridges for a little under a kilometre to find the waterfall and viewing platform.

Additionally, For those looking for a longer hike, the trail continues on to the moderate 5.5km Margaret Falls Upper Loop.

Overall, This hike is a short walk (Around 20 minutes) and great for hikers of all skill levels!

First, From Kamloops, travel on the Trans-Canada Hwy 1 towards salmon arm and turn onto Sunnybrae Canoe Point Road just before Tappen. From there, Follow the signs to Harold Park for about 12 kilometres. Finally, you will see the parking lot for the falls just after the entrance to Harold Park.

Importantly, if the parking lot is full, follow the road down for another kilometre to find overflow parking.
