Sicamous Lookout is a Must See… With Breath-taking views just a few steps from parking, this spot is definitely a list topper…
Sicamous Lookout, located just above the town of Sicamous, BC, is a must see for anyone traveling through the Shuswap in the summer. This lookout is easily accessible and offers a spectacular view of Shuswap Lake, Mara Lake and the townsite below.
Originally, it was built as a hang gliding launch pad in the 1980s. It has since been abandoned and has become somewhat of a local attraction. It’s definitely a great place to showoff and get a social media worthy picture. However, err on the side of caution near the edge as this ledge does not feature any railing.
Technically, This spot is definitely more of a point of interest than a hike. Nearby, you can find parking along the road but make sure to be aware of logging trucks as it is an active logging road!
All in all, Sicamous Lookout it is definitely a must see and should be at the top of your activity list!
